Search Funds by Stock

To search for funds who hold specific stock within Prospector, follow these steps.

1. Click on the search dropdown on Prospector home page and select Funds By Stock.

2. Enter a company stock or company name, use the autocomplete and hit enter on your keyboard to execute the search.

   

3. The list of funds and their account who held the stock as of the previous filing date displays in a list. It displays key information like investor type, % of portfolio, shares held, shares changed, total value and filing source and last filing date. From here you can do several actions.

FILTER LIST TO FIND SPECIFIC HOLDERS

For example, you may want to filter for hedge funds with active orientation that increased positions that are in United States.

1. Click on the funnel icon and filter based on investor types, position activity, orientation, combined value, or region. If you are using Prospector on Salesforce, you can also filter based on your coverage.

   

2. Click on Excel icon to export the list.

SEARCH FOR MULTIPLE STOCKS

For example, you may want to search all holders based on the stocks from the morning meeting

1. Go back to the Funds by Stock search, and enter your second company name or stock.

2. Repeat until you have searched them all.

3. The fund list reason column and combined value displays the specific holdings and its combined value. Note that with multiple company searches, columns indicating shares changes are omitted.

   

Note that you cannot create list of funds in Client Center since funds are not created as contacts or accounts in CRM.
