Search Contacts By Stock

To search for contacts who hold specific stock within Prospector, follow these steps.

1. Click on the search dropdown on Prospector home page and select Contacts By Stock.

2. Enter a company stock or company name, use the autocomplete and hit enter on your keyboard to execute the search.

   

3. The list of contacts and their account who held the stock as of the previous filing date displays in a list. It displays key information like reason, combined value, email, phone, and location. From here you can do several actions.

FILTER LIST TO FIND SPECIFIC HOLDERS

For example, you may want to filter for hedge funds with active orientation that are in United States.

1. Click on the funnel icon and filter based on account types, orientation, combined value, or region. If you are using Prospector on Salesforce, you can also filter based on your coverage.

   

2. Click on Excel icon to export the list.

SEARCH FOR MULTIPLE STOCKS

For example, you may want to search all holders based on the stocks from the morning meeting

1. Go back to the Contacts by Stock search, and enter your second company name or stock.

2. Repeat until you have searched them all.

3. The contact list reason column and combined value displays the specific holdings and its combined value.

   

CREATE LIST IN CLIENT CENTER FROM SEARCH RESULTS

For example, you may want to import the list in Client Center to call them with trade ideas or do an personalized email.

1. Select the checkboxes beside each contact name and click Add to List.

2. Complete the new list creation form and then open Client Center or Tier1 for Outlook to continue your workflows.

This feature is only available when using Prospector on Salesforce. Note that contacts must be linked first before you can create a list of them.
