When using Prospector on Salesforce, you can link an account by creating a new account or associating to an existing account in Salesforce. Linking the account or contact will display data in CRM on profile page or ownership cube. Note that in the standalone Prospector web app, the linking option is not available.
LINK ACCOUNT TO CRM
On any account search or account list, click on the account name that is grayed out. Accounts that clickable are already linked.
Select Link Account and then in the popup screen, click on the create new option to create a new account in CRM or search for accounts with similar names. Prospector tries to find accounts with similar names to suggest as well. Click Link to associate to an existing account.
After you have linked the account, a new option to view account details will be available when you click an account name.
If you created a new account, the basic details will be copied onto Salesforce standard fields; if you linked to an existing account, the basic details are not copied onto Salesforce standard fields. Here is an example of what is copied from LSEG once it is linked.
