HOW DO I ACCESS STANDALONE PROSPECTOR APP?

You can access the Prospector app at https://aceprospector.com. It does not require a Salesforce license. You may also have integrated Prospector licenses connected to your Salesforce instance.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN STANDALONE AND INTEGRATED PROSPECTOR?

The integrated Prospector app on Tier1 has more features such as linking accounts and contacts, creating lists from ticker searches, and viewing the ownership data from Client Center cube. You can normally access integrated Prospector from a Salesforce tab or directly from Client Center top right menus.

WHAT ARE THE PROSPECTOR USER TYPES?

There are three main user types defined by access scope field.

  1. Standard user - Access to Prospector application.

  2. Client admin user - Access to Prospector application, manage users for their firm, and view total licenses and active users for their firm.

  3. Tier1 admin user - Access to Prospector application, manage users for all firms, and manage licenses and active users for all firms.

HOW DO I TRACK USAGE?

On the manage users tab on the admin screen, you can find a column called number of logins and last login. The number of logins is the login count of the user for all time and the last login shows the last time the user logged in. Note that last login always display in Eastern Standard Time (EST) - New York timezone.

CAN I FILTER OR EXPORT LIST OF USERS?

To use the filter, click on the funnel icon on either manage users or manage clients tab. Enter your filter parameters and click apply. Note that the filters are all contains filters.

Exporting is not supported.

HOW DO I RESET MY PASSWORD?

Go to https://aceprospector.com/, click Login on the top right of the screen and then click on Forgot password? link. Enter your username and you will get an email to reset your password.

IS THERE AN EXPIRATION TO WELCOME EMAILS?

The welcome emails expire after 24 hours or if it is used.

HOW DO I INCORPORATE SINGLE SIGN ON?

Single sign on is not supported for standalone Prospector. Integrated Prospector will authenticate based on the Salesforce session so no additional login is required.

HOW DO I GET MY API KEY FOR UPDATE SERVICE OR OWNERSHIP CUBE?

The API key can be accessed as a column in the Manage Clients tab.
