Download and Install Inbox

Tier1 Inbox may already be installed for you by your IT team, if not, follow instructions below for installing. Note that installing it on one platform installs it on all platforms so you only have to do this once.

WEB/NEW OUTLOOK (COMING SOON IN SUMMER 2025)

  1. Open a browser tab and log into your web Outlook version https://outlook.office.com/mail/.

  2. Click on Apps menu on the left navigation. Icon looks like squares within a larger square

  3. Click Add Apps, search for SS&C Tier1 and find the add-in.

  4. Click on it and click Add.

  5. Go back to your mail view in Outlook, and select an email, click on the same Apps icon beside your reply, reply all, and forward buttons.

  6. Search for Tier1 Inbox and click on it.

  7. Inbox panel opens beside the email and it will prompt you for your Salesforce login URL. Add your Salesforce mydomain URL and then optionally name Production to whatever you like. For example, use ssnc.my.salesforce.com.

  8. Click Login to Salesforce and enter your username and password. If you are using single sign on, then use your computer username and password.

CLASSIC OUTLOOK (COMING SOON IN SUMMER 2025)

  1. Open Outlook

  2. Click on Apps (squares within a larger square icon) menu on the left navigation.

  3. Click Add Apps, search for SS&C Tier1 and find the add-in

  4. Click on it and click Add.

  5. Go back to your mail view in Outlook, click on Show Panel of your Outlook ribbon. It should be the last ribbon since you just installed it.

  6. Inbox panel opens beside the email and it will prompt you for your Salesforce login URL. Add your Salesforce mydomain URL and then optionally name Production to whatever you like. For example, use ssnc.my.salesforce.com.

  7. Click Login to Salesforce and enter your username and password. If you are using single sign on, then use your computer username and password.

MANUAL

  1. Download the Tier1 Inbox manifest XML.

  2. In your preferred browser, go to https://aka.ms/olksideload. This opens Outlook on the web, then loads the Add-Ins for Outlook dialog after a few seconds.

  3. In the Custom Addins section, select Add a custom add-in, then choose Add from file.

  4. Select the XML file for the add-in.

  5. Confirm installation.

  6. Go back to your mail view in web Outlook, and select an email, click on the same Apps icon beside your reply, reply all, and forward buttons.

  7. Search for Tier1 Inbox and click on it.

  8. Inbox panel opens beside the email and it will prompt you for your Salesforce login URL. Add your Salesforce mydomain URL and then optionally name Production to whatever you like. For example, use ssnc.my.salesforce.com.
